This course is designed to introduce students to the art of visual storytelling using video. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities, students will learn how to use visual elements to create compelling stories that engage and captivate audiences in a video format.

By the end of the course, students will:

1. 【Visual Storytelling】:Understand the fundamentals of visual storytelling in video and how to use them to create engaging stories

2.  【Visual Elements】:Know how to use visual elements such as composition, light, color, movement, sound, and narrative to tell a story in video format

3. 【Composition】:Know how to choose the right angle and point of view to create a specific effect in video.

4. 【Sound Effect】:Understand the role of sound in video storytelling and how to use it effectively

5. 【Storyboard】:Be able to create a shot list and a storyboard for a short video story

6. 【Advanced visual storytelling techniques】:Be able to use advanced visual storytelling techniques in video, including lighting, color grading, and camera movement to create a compelling video story.

➤ The importance of visual storytelling in today's media landscape
➤ The elements of visual storytelling in video: images, composition, light, color, movement, sound, and narrative
➤ The different types of video storytelling: documentary, narrative, promotional, and social media
➤ Hands-on activity: students will create a shot list and a storyboard for a short video story

Lesson 2 - Advanced Visual Storytelling Techniques for Video

➤ The power of perspective: choosing the right angle and point of view for video
➤ The role of sound in video storytelling: music, voice-over, and sound effects
➤ Editing and pacing for video storytelling
➤ Case studies: examples of advanced visual storytelling techniques in video, including lighting, color grading, and camera movement
➤ Hands-on activity: students will create a short video story using advanced techniques learned in the session
